| By the comparison between the sport event development in Shanghai and that in New York, London and Melbourne, three world-renowned cities for world sport events, the article concludes that the gap between the event quantities is not significant. The main gap lies in less regular sport events, lower event level, weaker event influence, less localization of the sport events, weaker development of mass sport events and lower level of sport event management. |
