| Modern communication technology has changed the nature of many competitive sports, including football and has created a large number of mirrored football audience. Virtualization phenomena appear in original real football games. From the aspect of public space discourse, football has replaced classical drama and has become a kind of game, gathering and ritual. Both entity football and mirror football are very much like a modern version of tragedy. While the connotation of the tragedy comes from the collective concept of of the ancient Greek classical tragedy writers. Football is a modern form of classical tragedy and the world cup is a condensed version of tragic form. |
